Then there is something that sticks in my mind where the original ring gear bolts are smaller than what is being used now. So if you're using a modern posi unit then you have to use stepped ring gear bolts.</div><div><br data-mce-bogus="1"></div><div>My Tiger has the 3.31 gears (and a Torsen LSD) and it spins at about 3000 RPM at 60 MPH, in fourth. The five speed makes it livable but first gear is really short. Axles, bearings, hubs are unique Tiger.<br>
Stock is about 2450RPM at 60, way too fast unless you have a big cam
IMHO.<br>
Big carb, hopped up 289, you probably get 14mpg highway? Ouch.<br>
I have a stock 5.0L/T-5 wide ratio.. maybe 220HP, 14in wheels
=1950RPM at 70.. NICE. Like a modern car<br>
MPG > 20 but not sure..<br>

very streetable around town and on the highway posi rear
end ratio that will
work well with a good balance between acceleration for fun
and highway

acceleration for fun part in place but not the highway
