<div>Lots of aspects factor into rubbing. You stated originally there was
no rubbing. And, you thought it might be a weight issue. If so removed what must
be the added weight. If it is spring sag then they will need to be replaced or
re-arced. Perhaps a leaf is broken??? There is the possibility that the
Panhard rod bushings have worn. Thus the prescribed arc of the Panhard rod is no
longer holding the tires off an area..., or the slop is allowing the axle to
move and rub.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>What type of driving causes the rub. Bumps, turning? Where are the tires
rubbing? Inner fender (and if there on the inside or outside wall). Or is it the
wheel opening lip that is rubbing? If it is the wheel opening lip there are
services that can deal with this and generally not affect the paint. What is the
wheel offset and the tire size? You might be near the edge of slim
margins. Longer shackles may flex even more and it will alter the pinion
angle and roll steer. I agree with a previous poster raising the rear of the
Tiger upwards towards 2”- 3” is excessive.</div>

<div>More info, The car has original springs, it has dropped down in the rear
especially on my side , I think it's a weight issue. I've had 15 inch
Panasport's on for some time with no isssues. And I had air shocks for awhile,
harsher ride, looked good though! So, Mr King is probably wright new
springs and a good new rear shock will keep that tire off my fender..

Are you putting in larger diameter wheels? Might look quite a bit
odd. And similar sized wheels in front would hit when turning.

over shocks in addition to leaf springs goes into the territory of ‘helper
springs’. Usually for carrying a heavier load. Adjustable coil over shocks
(where you can raise the ride height) will pre-load the leaf springs and, in my
opinion, result in a harsh ride and possibly some irrational behavior of the
rear end. Fitment may also be an issue. Extended shackles may be your answer. 2
inches is quite a bit and I’m not a fan of longer shackles but it will raise the
body. Maybe someone has had more experience with coil overs than I have. I use
QA1 coil overs on my street rod with a 4 link set up. <br>> Jim B<br>>
