Make sure that your shiny new replacement valve covers will fit. You might find that rechroming your original valve covers is the easier option. As to removing the sticker, I don't have specific experience with removing the sticker but most adhesives can be removed with either gasoline or lacquer thinner. Try soaking the valve cover in both.
