<html><head></head><body><div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size:16px"><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26808"><br></div><div><br></div><div dir="ltr">Busy weekend with 3 BtiLatest steps.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26838"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26809">Jacked up front of car.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26871">Drained radiator fluid.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27096">Removed top hose 3/4" radiator hose restrictor washer.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26886">Removed 160 degree thermostat - so this test with no thermostat<br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26754">Topped up radiator still jacked up.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26900" dir="ltr">Changed to 13lb radiator cap</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27393">Cranked up car at idle - still goes to 210 with hood up in 14 minutes- no change.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27098"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27108"><br></div><div>Water hose connections:</div><div>Radiator cap in center of radiator - remember recored brass radiator with top and bottom tanks about 5" higher more capacity.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27573">Drivers side (inlet from thermostat housing) is 5" left towards drivers fender on radiator - top hose</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27564">Top water pump outlet ~ 90 degree hose (small) to thermostat housing.</div><div>Bottom water pump outlet goes to passenger side heater core.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27283">Drivers side heater core hose goes to top on heater valve - currently plugged due to 3 leaking valves.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27282">Bottom or side outlet of heater valve attaches to the top of the manifold behind the distributor.<br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26938"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26937">Tested 160 degree thermostat on stove - opened at 165 - all open at 175</div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_26939">Tested 180 degree thermostat on stove - opened at 180 - all open at 190</div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27065">Drilled 1/8" hole in 180 to bleed air/steam - hopefully</div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27353">Will reinstall 160 degree thermostat with 1/8" hole drilled - when cools off<br></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27044"><br></div><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1525170642886_27001">Borrowed a dial back timing light. Only way to correct is to change the weights in the distributor - Bill does not like distributors with vac adj. - hope this is OK to report.
