I'm in the process of restoring a hard top.  I have removed the headliner<br>
and padding to have the top repainted.  The original rectangular padding<br>
appears to be in good shape for 50 yr old organic material.  I'm debating<br>
replacing the original padding with a modern sound deadening/insulating<br>
material (e.g. Dynamat).  In general, I try to put things back they way they<br>
were, but it's underneath the headliner where it'll never be seen.<br>

For those who have been here before me, what did you decide and why?  If I<br>
reinstall the original, any adhesive recommendations?<br>
