But when I said that on the soft top they were a 4 alarm booger to get into the “C” channel because of the screws holding it to the front bow, he said screws should be rivets! Wha…? I have owned this car for 50 years now and although I purchased it used, it only had a few thousand miles on it and the rag top was original. Could my memories have dimmed that much from the very first time I changed the soft top? Do any of you folk have your rag top in original condition and where the seal location is visible and can look at it and verify rivets vs screws? If rivets are OEM then I know who it will go back together, lol. Screw for temp install to hold then rivets alongside the screws to fasten permanently. Or replace the screws in the OEM holes with rivets, one at a time.
