<div dir="ltr">Wow, Thanks for bringing back that information. Now I have to rethink what cover to use! Yeah, he had a way of being right about these types of things . . . I guess I'd have to worry about what part is next on the list to be the sacrificial metal.<div><br></div><div>The rest of the car is fantastic. I was actually driving back from a Malibu car show where Jay Leno, Patrick Long (Porsche factory race car driver), and others were. As I drove in and again when I drove out, I heard people say "look at that nice Tiger." Sure is a cool feeling! One guy even came up to tell me how great the exhaust sounded - again, dad's insistence on that H pipe, I'm sure.</div><div><br></div><div>Then, on the way home, as I was just finishing coming through the canyon about 4 miles from home, it was such a glorious drive, that I turned around to do it again! </div><div><br></div><div>Sadly, that's when I noticed the water spray coming up through the LAT hood. So back around I went. I watched the temp like a hawk and even turned on the extra radiator fan my dad put in. Yes there is.. I remember your dad's posts about it.<br>
He found its cheap zinc and therefore provided the perfect sacrificial metal to protect the other<br>
parts of the engine/cooling system. Not sure I bought into the theory but maybe.. Since it corroded a hole,<br>
maybe he was right, he WAS a very smart rocket scientist! We all miss him.<br>
How IS the rest of the system?<br>

Is there anything special about the Tiger thermostat housing? Mine seems to have developed a hole through the metal right on top - spraying all over the place. And yes, it appear to be coming straight out of the metal, not the hose.<br>
