<p dir="ltr">I think that is not correct.... From what I understand they were not invited.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Lots of the BP tigers that usually run were running in other events only weeks before , Tom Sakai Dan Walters etc.. they were all on the usual 13x7" setup... </p>
<p dir="ltr">I think the grid suffered for not having the tigers..  apart from a couple of ISO ( bizz and rivolta) maybe an xke? it was a vette, stang and cobra demonstration... How many gt350's does one need in a race... ?</p>

As it turns out, it sounds like it may have been Rick Lara per my buddy's<br>

"Yes, that?s where we were camped out.  Birmingham is an affluent area<br>
between Pontiac and Detroit Metro area.  More towards the northern end of<br>
the Cruise.  It was a plain green car...looked very stock by my<br>
interpretation.  He only passed by once while we were there and that was a<br>
good, 5 hours."<br>

First, apparently the organizers did not accept a single Tiger this year.<br>
What a bummer.  I can't imagine the Cobras and Mustangs were actually<br>
nervous about the competition!<br>
<br>
Second, on the plus side, Tom Sakai had an Alpine out there.  We were all<br>
set to cheer it on.  But it blew an oil line during the first lap of the<br>
morning race, and they couldn't fix it in time for the afternoon race.<br>
<br>
Otherwise, it was a great event.<br>
