decades ago I ran the starter drive gear around my new flywheel

gear to correct starter bendix. A parts store without an older employee that
is aware of the 157 and 160 tooth flywheel ring gear will sell you whatever
starter that will bolt up. Unfortunately it is easy to install a new flywheel
but pulling the engine isn't as easy as changing a ring gear. May well be to
late for your ring gear but it is easy to change out the bendix so "others"
can make sure they have a bendix that matches their ring gear.</SPAN></DIV>
