<div>The RA1 is not your typical r-comp tire. It is very good in the wet (we've used them for rain tires) and wear is more similar to an ultra high performance street tire than a dedicated track tire. They also don't attract punctures like a Hoosier or other DOT R tires. I've run them on dual purpose cars with good success. </div>

<div>But, if the car in question isn't going to be driven hard, the price premium and accelerated wear (I'd guesstimate 6-7,000 miles on a Tiger that is used for the occasional autocross and no track duty) is hard to justify.</div>

<div>The problem is that the USA DOT requires certification on all tires and for low volume tires like 13" there is just no incentive to bring them into this country. Outside of track tires (Proxes RA1, Hoosiers) the choices for Hipo 13" tires are non-existent. <br>
