(which fills and stays full whether the engine is running or not, I think,
based on its inverted position)) and with 4 quarts my dip stick shows almost
full. My assumption is that when the engine stops oil sits in the filter and
doesn’t drain down to the crankcase. If I added a quart I am sure the dip
stick would show way over full. I am puzzled.

where the oil line was with the original oil filter and hoses. I
never experimented with how much oil the original filter and lines held to

have a little different problem. My 260 almost fills to the “full line” on
the dipstick with a little more than 4 quarts including the filter. Can’t
figure out why it can’t take the full five quarts?
