I pulled the distributor and disassembled it to get the points plate out.
(Actually I disassembled more, because that little circlip on the vacuum
advance arm dropped down under the base plate) Supporting the points plate
on my bench vice, the screw in the gap between the jaws, I whacked it with
my impact tool, the old style one that you hit with a hammer. It came
right out. A new screw with Locktite 242 replaced it.
