Yeah, I am pretty sure it IS the same car.

It might be one of those (typical) sad stories...
He got a good deal on a car he always wanted.
Took it out and lost it.. I think I see some repair work above the grill...
or he blew up the 260.
So the car had to come apart a little.  Shop couldn't match the paint so
they told him they needed to re-paint the whole car.
He says ok, great, never liked red cars anyway.
So they started taking it apart and painting it blue.  But those red piped
seats need to go so let's strip the interior.
It starting to get expensive.. so he takes it to another shop.  They delay,
delay delay...  Owner got to drive it only
a few days, lost interest, gave up on the project..  now the shop just
wants it out of there..
Sound about right?
