If any one knows where they can be had, I sure would like to know. Somebody also sold a kit with just the Lucas raised panel and replacement caps to add to a modern battery, but they also appear to be NLA.? There were a lot of different Lucas battery sticker designs - curiously the one offered by XKS was never used on a Jaguar I don't believe, and don't know if it's correct for a Tiger.? I need to poke through my TBON to see if there are any pictures of an original battery. Chris B382000331 On 1/13/2025 1:05 PM, STEVE MURPHY via Tigers wrote: > I got mine here. It might be one of those (typical) sad stories... He got a good deal on a car he always wanted. Took it out and lost it.. I think I see some repair work above the grill... or he blew up the 260. So the car had to come apart a little. Shop couldn't match the paint so they told him they needed to re-paint the whole car. He says ok, great, never liked red cars anyway. So they started taking it apart and painting it blue. But those red piped seats need to go so let's strip the interior. It starting to get expensive.. so he takes it to another shop. They delay, delay delay... Owner got to drive it only a few days, lost interest, gave up on the project.. now the shop just wants it out of there.. Sound about right? I've always liked the dark blue better, so in a couple of years, after I clear another project out of the way, mine will get stripped down and repainted, and look like the pictures below for a while.
