I have only seen pictures of an alternator mounted on the Tiger generator bracket.
I have not found any detailed description of the install.
I do not have parts available to investigate this install myself.
My hope was that my original message would reach someone who has done this install and share info or someone willing to invest their time on this particular install.
As I stated, this is a very interesting alternator install but we need some install documentation so others might follow.

Can we get more of a close up on how it's installed?

Thank you Theo
I just checked Rock Auto.com <http://Auto.com> – the 50 amp has an external regulator, the 55 amp has an internal regulator.

I used that alternator (early 80's Toyota) in my first alternator conversion. It has an internal regulator which makes wiring it a breeze and it still has a light output compatible with the Tiger dash light indicator.
I don't recall its rating off the top of my head but I think it is 55 amps. So be careful if you have an ammeter because this thing can pin it.

The 1982 and earlier Toyota Alternator looks promising.

I have no details about this install, thus my ask.
Here are my observations:
Not sure about what alternator is used.
Long bolt – 7/16” around 8.5” long
3 spacers – these will vary, depends on the Alternator
The adjustment arm is not showing – original arm might work

Stock Tiger heavy cast iron bracket, long bolt, Ford alternator, 3 custom spacers...
wha la.. Tiger with a modern alternator conversion.
Different strokes... This one should work ok.
