I have an aluminum aftermarket radiator with an overflow nipple that's 3/8 inch. My aftermarket overflow tank has an inlet tube of 1/4 inch. I'm wondering if anyone has come across this issue before, and if so how did you resolve the issue. I tried a reducing 90 deg;ree ellbow on my tank but it just slides off. Any suggestions out there?
See attached photos:_Below is the same type overflow tank I'm using. The inlet line is 1/4 inch.
The photo below shows my radiator with a 3/8 inch overflow nipple to the right of the filler cap.
I was hoping I could mount a 90 degree elbow to the inlet on the bottom of my overflow tank, then route the overflow tube under the radiator, then up the right side of the radiator to the overflow nipple. Turns out the elbow I bought is made of rubber so it just slips loose from the fittings. Tried to clamp it down and it still slips loose.
Any suggestions on how I can get from 3/8 inch hose to 1/4 inch hose?
