[Tigers] Transmission paint color or bare metal??

I have a very late Mk1a.  No sign of blue or any paint on case.

I have never known Ford to paint a manual trans case.  They are coated with a phospate dip and that's it.

I have seen a lot of blue Ford trans but its always the DPO.
