Hi Larry

Have you considered applying clear over your old adhesive backed decals to set them in place (or applying clear then setting the decal using wax paper?  Otherwise, I used dry-transfer letters sourced at an arts store. Bit tedious but you are only doing a few words.

Has anyone restored the heater/air vent faceplate? I had an old adhesive backed decal that most of sat for 30 years that I could no longer use. I would be up to any methods.
