[Tigers] Car Radio

Hi,

I recently decided to dig my old radio out of storage and clean it up and
put it back in my car. I took everything apart and cleaned and painted as
needed. The radio didn't work and I started looking for options. I didn't
really want to spend the money to have an AM radio restored and the retro
looking new radios are nice but expensive.

Then I came across this little Bluetooth stereo amp from Fosi Audio (
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087FG2YGB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
).

I don't remember if somebody on the Tiger list talked about it or if I saw
it somewhere else. I figured I can't go wrong for $19.99. I also bought
a dual voice coil speaker from Crutchfield that provides stereo sound from
one speaker (
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_068D572UK/RetroSound-D-572UK-Dash-Speaker.html).
The speaker is a little bigger than the original and I had to cut into the
radio to make it fit.

I replaced the light bulb in the radio with an led and ran a wire out of
the radio bypassing the old stuff in the radio. I hooked this wire up to
the wire powering the Bluetooth amp. So the radio lights up but all of the
sound coming through the new speaker comes from the Bluetooth amp and I use
my phone to select what I want to listen to (Spotify, SiriusXM, etc.).

Have Fun,
