[Tigers] Speedo rebuild outcome and next issue I need help with ...

After multiple emails endorsing these folks:

I called them and they told me they are now so busy that they only do German gauges but recommended this place that does only British gauges:https://momamanufacturing.com/
Talked to the gentleman there and he said it would take 6-8 weeks as he was really busy.  I sent it in and got a call about 3 weeks later.  In the car, looks nicely cleaned up and working fine.
FWIW.
Now on to my hood latch.  It latches, but not really.  Then after driving for a bit, it unlatches.  Often when I hit a bigger than average (maybe 1.5-2 sd above the mean) bump.
Any general strategies or tech tips?
