[Tigers] plywood under battery

I made the two pieces for my Tiger today out of wood I already had.  I cut the side piece out of maple as per the Rootes drawing.  For the trunk floor piece, I used 1/4" oak cut to 11-1/2 x 3. Thirteen inches would have been to long.  The battery tray is 13".  Polyurethaned both.  My car has the holes in the floor.  Didn't really care about using beech wood or whatever goes under the battery.  Sure won't be removing the battery so a judge can inspect it.  How many judges will be able to verify beech wood anyway.  I'm sure it should be European beech as apposed to American beech.Jim DSent from my Galaxy

I find it interesting that Jims early MK1 and my mid runMK1a have the same spacing for screw holes holding down the plywood under the battery even  though the wood piece is not exactly the same due to them having been replaced over the years.  Could some have been screwed/some not?? holes are very small you would have to look close to see them especially if paint is deteriorated or some surface rust
