The rubber widget is pressed into the handle cavity.

9122188                rubber pad          listed for door handle and window regulator

I dug one of these pads out of a spare window regulator handle.  The spare door handle I have did not have a rubber pad.

 

Dimensions - .35? x .384?              .293? thick

 

Material ? rubber with some spring force ? I?m not the durometer specialist so not sure how to express this property

Part is tampered so the Rootes drawing would be needed to see the exact dimensions.
