I think I'll use this as a host for a Voltmeter conversion, since I'm not excited about all the power running through a gauge in the dash anyway. When the shunt opened, the car lost all power at 70 mph in the left lane of the freeway. No more engine, no more turn signals, brake lights, anything. Quite exciting. Has anyone converted one of these, or do you just buy an aftermarket voltmeter and install it. I kind of like the idea of it at least appearing factory.

In 1927 British Jaeger was purchased by Smiths Industries Limited.

My question is, who was the original manufacturer of the gauges for an early MK1? The gauges in my dash are Jaeger, but I have some Lucas gauges in the spare parts that came with the car. I see lots of Lucas gauges on ebay, but not Jaeger. Thanks for any insight.
