[Tigers] Repo Spark Plug Socket

I have attached a picture of the spark plug sockets and Tommy bars I have.  When I bought my Tiger in 1977 the originals were on the bottom of a very rusty trunk floor.  I blasted and painted they years ago with Eastwood Spray Gray just to preserve them.  You can see how pitted they are.  The black bar and socket are the 3D printed ones.  Pretty close to original except for a ridge at the very bottom past where the knurled marks are.  The chrome plated socket is a Britool AD820.  It is identical to the original except for the lettering.  The original has Z5798 where as the Britool has AD820 Made in Britool England 1/2 BS 7/16 W.  Below that is For14 M/M plugs.  I believe the Britool is your best bet to find one.  I have been to England's fall Beaulieu swap meet at least 15 times and have never seen an original.  The Britool socket I have, I got off Ebay from England for $37 shipped.Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Bill Rodgers printed 3D copies of the socket and tommy bar.  There was an article about them in Tiger Tales a few years ago.  He also posted on the C.A.T. Forum (https://www.catmbr.org/VB_forum/showthread.php?t=4472&highlight=spark+plug+socket).  You could send him a PM via the Forum to see if he is still selling these items.

The Britool plug socket and tommy bar frequently for sale on eBay are not the correct ones for your Tiger.  I could be wrong, but I did not think the Tiger ones were made by Britool, but it has been awhile since I looked at my tools.

Good luck!

David
