[Tigers] Tiger Clock Identification

I have attached a picture of 3131/00 and 3131/01.  Both are new and the number is visible on the clock face.  00 has the letters sideways and 01 are up and down.  I believe the 3030/00 might be a typo on someone's part.  I don't know where the SAOCA or Norm got their data, but it would be nice for them to chime in with a picture of the part number on the clock 3030/00 if it exists.  Rootes only lists one part number for the Tiger in both the MKI and MKII parts book.  Could be Smiths changed parts and Rootes didn't change the number.  Nisonger shows 3131/01 for Alpine V and all Tigers.  The Rootes part number in the Nisonger catalog is different then the one in the Rootes parts book.  I have sent all this data plus other stuff to Brian.  Totally confused.Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

We all have to remember that unless we are the original owner of our Tiger and know for sure, the clock could have been sourced from many places including from other British cars. I have a CE 3131/01 clock in my Mk IA. Ron Fraser From: Tigers <tigers-bounces at autox.team.net> On Behalf Of Terry Packer via TigersSent: Sunday, April 26, 2020 10:24 PMTo: tigers at autox.team.net; jmartiniii at yahoo.comSubject: Re: [Tigers] Tiger Clock Identification This is not of importance to the identification of proper Tiger clocks. But for the sake of completeness and accuracy regarding the excellent article, I have a 2194-08 which is not top adjustment. It is bottom adjustment and so looks like the 2194-09 pictured. Maybe it was assembled during the transition from one style to another? In any case, it appears versions of 2194-08 clocks can exist with either adjustment arrangement.  Terry Packer ****************************************** On Sunday, April 26, 2020, 6:22:53 PM PDT, Joel Martin via Tigers <tigers at autox.team.net> wrote:   Here is a article I found helpful.Joel MartinOn Sunday, April 26, 2020, 07:25:01 PM EDT, <tigers-request at autox.team.net> wrote:   Send Tigers mailing list submissions to    tigers at autox.team.net To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit    http://autox.team.net/mailman/listinfo/tigersor, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to    tigers-request at autox.team.net You can reach the person managing the list at    tigers-owner at autox.team.net When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specificthan "Re: Contents of Tigers digest..."Today's Topics:  1. Tiger MkI clocks (Brian Glenn)I hope you are all well and safe. I'm putting together an article for CAT Tiger Tales and am having difficulty sorting out the correct MkI model Smiths clock.  The BON lists a 3030/00 as the appropriate model and what research I've located supports this.  Trouble is I can't seem to find a photo of sufficient detail where I can read the model number.  I'd greatly appreciate pictures of the 3030/00 models where the model number is visible. In addition, the only photo I did find with all the assigned attributes (sideways 3 & 9, red hands, adjustments at 4 & 8, Smiths logo below the clock center) is on a Smiths model CE3131/00 (see attached).  So any group knowledge with references would be much appreciated. I try to make these articles as accurate as the data allows. There is enough erroneous data out there already.Cheers,Brian Brian GlennP.O.
