The offset you mention is shown in the Shop Manual.

Section F, pg. 22 lower fulcrum pin 1 1/8” spacing to the rear of the lower A-arm

I’m not sure what the dimensions are for the lower fulcrum pin or if that can change the caster.

Maybe someone else on the List has better knowledge in this area.

In a simple form if you take the wheel off the front you can observe that the upper ball joint is more rearward than the lower ball joint. That is positive caster. Between the upper surface of the crossmember and the lower surface of the “frame” rail is a wedge that is higher towards the back. This assists in moving the upper ball joint more rearward. Adding additional “wedge” increases the positive caster. However, there is a limit to the wedge because a straight bolt has to tighten the angled crossmember to a flat surface.

I was also told that the fulcrum pins (not sure if it is upper or lower) has an offset bias and inverting it front to back (or visa versa, not sure which way) can increase caster. Whether the statement was made just to make a point, or it is actually a practical means of adjusting caster..., other who may have done so will have to tell you.

Thank you to all who has responded. I will submit findings shortly but for the life of me, after reading workshop manual, responses, I cannot figure out how to adjust the caster. Please advise in detail how this is accomplished.

Thanks Again.
