Graham Vickery – STOC- UK sent me an interesting note on this subject:

 

I’ve checked out the pretty poor drawing that came from Tudor Accessories Ltd. Here's what the 10th March 1966 dated dwg says:

 

Coating instruction: Phosphate coated stove enamel to British Standard 3189 Grade A1 & A2 Paint instruction: Colour Blue Thermal Diffusion to BS381C No 166.

The color chip give a good representation of the color of coarse there is no guarantee of how exact the color is represented on each of our monitors. 

 

You can pull up the color mix by clicking on the color but I have no idea how to translate them into a working formula.

I still had some blue on my bracket and I carried it around to several stores and the Old Ford Blue seemed to be the closest match I could find. Of course, the original finish on my bracket could have darkened over time.

I believe I painted my bracket Rustoleum -  Horizon Blue 7726 – a much lighter blue.

 

Anyone have a picture of the original color for the windscreen washer bottle bracket?

I used Dupli-Color engine paint, " Old Ford Blue".
