Steve makes a good point. It has happened to more than once over the years and I'm sure that when they located the cause of the fumes they were elated. Others were just as elated when they learned their OEM hose had cracked over time and the old hose was the cause of their gas smell. Joe, use caution IF your studs aren't installed presently as should we all!!

Be carefull, the same channel you are threading the gas vapor return thru, has the tauno cover snap studs threaded into it. I have seen Alpines with mystery gas fume problems due to a punctured hose.

Joe...Now I've read you did receive instructions and replied now to fish it thru. Obviously pulling it thru using a piece on nylon string helps considerably. A knot and a cpl half hitches and a piece of tape also help BUT if the old hose is no longer there and you own a shop vac you MIGHT be able to put the end of your shop vac hose or the end of a tube with a rag sealing it so it sucks the string thru the opening on the opposite side. The string makes it much easier to get the new hose pulled thru. Good Luck!!

Hi,
Does anyone have a good photo showing how the vapor hose gets routed in the trunk? Are there supposed to be some clamps that mount it somewhere to keep it from flopping around?
Thanks,Joe Brown
