[Tigers] Rear Wheel Brake Cylinders

I bought a similar part from another supplier, that was supposed to be a replacement for the no longer made originals. I couldn't even make them fit and ended up buying some used originals from another member on the list. The original style does allow the brake cylinder to float around a little within the slot.

Subject: [Tigers] Rear Wheel Brake Cylinders

Hey,

I'm rebuilding my rear brakes and I'm struggling a little bit with mounting the brake cylinder using the "lock plates" from SS (part number BP53). I managed to get the plates inserted with some effort but now the cylinder doesn't want to slide very easily. The repair manual says the cylinder needs to be able to slide back and forth. Should it be able to slide fairly easily? I can't hardly get the thing to move.

Thanks,
Joe Brown
