Good point re the keys. When I was heavily autocrossing my first Tiger I found that if the hubs had even the slightest play on the axle shafts, the single key would shear from the shock load after multiple launches. I machined a second slot in the axles opposite the original slot and broached a second groove in the hubs. Never had a problem after that.

be the keys between the axle shafts and the hubs.

Instead of re-Engineering the Dana 44 (for Drag Racing), he went to a
