#yiv2935776170 #yiv2935776170 -- P {margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;}#yiv2935776170 Thanks Tony. I'll see if I can locate him. If you were close enough to me I'd come over and mow your lawn for you in exchange for the parts!😁  For further reference, the parts I bought look like the ones shown on Sunbeam Specialties website for Automatic adjusting brakes and my car has manual adjusting brakes. Did the back of the brake backing plate not have the shield or pocket, whatever you want to call it, on it for the auto adjusting brakes?
Steve
On another note, Norm, please consider reprinting your book on Blurb or a digital copy for those among us that are ignorant of all things Tiger but love our cars and can't find a copy of the original.🙌

Subject: Re: [Tigers] Brake cylinder locking plate Steve- if no one can help out here on the Tiger list contact Doug Jennings in Dayton, Ohio. You can reach him on the Sunbeam Tiger Group on Facebook. His father ran the body shop part of Tiger Auto for years. Doug Jr took over when his Dad retired. Doug also worked for Dale for a few years     (I am not sure on the length of time)  anyway, if you know them, then you are aware that they are great guys who do excellent work and if you don't, I have spent a lot of time and money with Doug Sr. prior to my career ending surgery and thus my income shrinking violently . If you don't find your parts and cant reach Doug, let me know and I will get his phone number for you. I might have them myself but I am having so much back pain I am barely getting my shop and my yard mowed. Matter a fact, my neighbors may argue I am not getting either done.
Cheers, Tony

A while back on this list it was stated that part #582-210 from Moss Motors would replace the locking plates that hold the rear wheel cylinder in place. I finally got around to ordering two sets, and before I could install them, broke my hand. Today I went out to put them on and found out they won't fit. It's been long enough that Moss will only give a credit, and I don't own an Austin, MG or Triumph, so I'm out of luck on returning them. My backing plate has a "shield" around the wheel cylinder and lever on the back side so only the small, original plates will fit inside it. Does anyone have one set they would be willing to part with?
