Norm, you are right, I do own that book and have for several decades now and it was almost that long ago I read it. I wanted to think my memory loss was an early onset of oldtimers but recently read the meds I take daily have been found to... what was it I was telling you. Oh, I think I will read Taylors book again, bet it will be like the first time I've ever seen it. And thanks for reminding my memory!!

Come on guys!  Surely you've all got a copy of MikeTaylor's book, or at least had a chance to thumb through its pages. It's not like the "AF" development story hasn't been covered insome detail.  However, regardless of the "word-smithing",the vehicle being offered and identified with English registration EHP621C pays little homage to the left hand drive machine registered byHumber on the 10th of March, 1965.  And, no the chassis plate is notaffixed with "original" rivets.  But, since (according tothe information in Taylor's book) all twenty one of these cars werepulled from regular Alpine production, pedigree (in the sense weassociate with regular production) is not in play.

That was very interesting. And while not a buyer I did enjoy reading thewrite-up. Three things did stand out to me. One, RHD Tigers seem strangewith that ‘oh so far to the left’ shifter. Almost as if thedriver steers and the passenger shifts. Two, (I go here with somereservation) are those factory rivets? I ask not to contest, justcurious. Three, should the buyer be “out of the country how does oneship and insure the near priceless Mk. II side trim (the ad is a littleconfusing as to what is currently installed but the images seem to moresupport the Mk. II trim is not installed)?

I know that we have Tiger web sites that have many of the various, uniqueTigers.  However, those pages seem to be independent to the carsthemselves.  I don’t recall that they have ALL been amassed intheir own special section so as to progressively see one afteranother.  The Miles and Shelby (Boskoff) Tigers get the bulk of theattention so that until now I didn’t know of these Mark IIprototypes.

One of three Mk 2 Tiger prototypes is for sale on the U.K. Ebaysite.  Interesting car - has Mk 2 trim on a Mk 1 body.  Originally it had both Mk1 and Mk 2 trim, but the Mk 1 trim wasremoved.   Only about $120K.
