This was on one of the Mustang sites about platinum spark plugs, thought it might be of interest, I don't know if it is true or not.David
-----------------------
I used to use the double platinum Autolite APP-45's. I was warned off of these by the customer service at MSD. They didn't want the ignition system working any harder than it had to in order to produce a spark. The platinum tip(s), being less conductive than copper, make it harder for a spark jump the gap. With this knowledge I jumped back to the old style copper plugs, Autolite 45's. Being softer than the platinum types, they won't last as long, but that's a secondary consideration for me.

I bought a set of ASP 45 Autolites at NAPA 2 months ago.  Supposed to be an exact replacement.  No trouble installing other than the usual tight negotiating space :-)~

So, what are all ya’ll using for plugs in your box stock 260 engines?  Something I can find in Pahrump, lol… near the ends of the earth, we are…  mayf  _________________________
