Hi Larry,
I don't have all the answers yet, but here are a some:
* The car ran great 2 days ago - I drove it up and down my street
* It started fine yesterday, then I started to back out of the garage and that's when it sputtered out (really felt like it was running out of gas)
* The gasoline is new
* I removed and cleaned the gas tanks
* Fuel filter is new
* The carburetor is a brand new edelbrock 600cfm w/ manual choke
* Two solid streams of gas when I look in the carb
* When I try to start it now it just sputters and fires occasionally, never fully running smooth
* The fuel pump is clicking (I will pull the line and test flow)
* Coil wires are tight
* Distributor, coil, wires were all purchased new within the past year and have about 5 miles on them
* I turned the engine to TDC and checked position of rotor - all good
* I did try a different coil and wire off of an old mustang I have with no luck (can't promise they are good though)
