I recommend 1965/66 Mustang GT mufflers, if you don't want a high performance system. They are 2" x 2" and the right size and offset for the Tiger, they sound good (not too loud). I use to work in a Muffler shop and used these. If you are looking for stock size 1 7/8"x1 5/8" (approx) you can use V6 Mercury Capri, but I don't know if you can find these anywhere.
You can't put an "X" pipe on a Tiger, you can put an equalizer pipe, but that isn't original.

Still have to do a bit of finalizing on install, like tightening up the header bolts, Putting the header tank and all hoses back on and refilling the antifreeze.  But, when under the car a while back I noticed that my old cheapie mufflers are rusting out. So, I have a basic stock 260 in this car and was wondering what you folk are using for mufflers these days. For a box stock 260. Small exhaust pipes and all.  How about X pipes as well- anybody have something like that installed?  I do have the original style headers on the car.  How easy to fit larger exhaust pipes through the frame etc?  Any discussion on exhaust systems? Might be a few noobs on the list now that could be interested as well. Just to keep the list chatter alive.  Photos are good!!   By the way, I purchased some Aeroquip ¾-16t inverted hose fittings to be the starting point of new oil filter hoses.  I also acquired the required for those fittings the PTFE hose in -8 size. A Deraille oil filter remote mount and went at it. Wow, what a giant pain in the butt! Those hoses and fittings and difficult at best. Plus if you miss clock them then you may need to start over as the hose ends do not rotate! Have to get it right the first time. I have designed a new block adapter and have the metal to machine it and the center attaching piece and will get after that in a few days. It will be less than 1 inch thick, have no center inverted flare fitting anywhere. Will use -8 AN steel flare fittings as well. No I am not in the machine shop business, but, when the prototype is finished and working, I will share the drawings with all.     mayf  _________________________
