Jim:

I know this may sound stupid, but from what I'm hearing it almost sounds like there's something caught in the radiator that is rubbing on the fan. It doesn't come across as a consistent, or constant, noise on your attachment.

I know that I've had an issue with my fan touching my steering rack every so often, and it makes a metal-on-metal sound when it does. Do you have any telltale marks on your fan blades or in the middle of the tube on your steering rack where it might be rubbing?
