Yeah, but I had some other ideas (you gave me the ideas, lol). Like the use
of a 331 or 347 stroker kit with new pistons in a 260  block.  But that
requires more air than even warmed up heads might be able to do.  I have
some AFR heads on a 260 now and yes they  have 1.90 valves but also way too
big, read wide, combustion chambers. Wondering about  heads that actually
fit the 260 bore but are aluminum aftermarket heads. I could have the heads
welded and machined but that is a lot of extra expense.   So this was a
question to see if anyone had found heads that work, aftermarket that
actually fit the 3.8 inch bore. 

Funny but I ran the dyno program I have which is seriously optimistic, lol,
on a 260 with a 347 kit and AFR flow rates and F303 hyd roller cam and the
hp & tq was virtually the same as for a 4 inch bore block (a 289 5 bolt
maybe?) with the same stuff.  Maybe points out that the issue is with small
intake diameter valves or cam lift.  Or both. 

Hey, I had an email bounce back from you asking what you might wish to pay
for a Mexican 302 block.  I musta did something wrong.

BECAUSE of the bore size.

Not the case.

The typical problem is piston to valve clearance.

Standard 260s have flat top pistons, no valve reliefs.

I have a 260 with a 3.800 bore, with 351 heads and 1.900 intake valves.

However, It Does have aftermarket pistons with valve reliefs.

...Of course, all the BIGGER Stuff in the combustion chamber of a 260

KILLS compression, so pop up pistons are needed, just to get back to square
one...
