Very interesting, Steve!!  According to the Bill Carroll book, B9470057 was the first car off the production line with the Ford Toploader transmission, with the previous cars having B-W T-10s.  What is most interesting to me about this listing, however, is that my first Tiger, purchased back in October of 1979 in the Oklahoma City area, was a sister car to this one, B9470058.  I always wondered where the #57 car was, or if it was even still around.  That question has now been answered.
