Someone was bound to do it.......
I looked up the acceleration of a sudden stop from 60MPH.  It is 80G's.  Human tolerance is 50G's acting uniformly over the whole body.

JayNo, not the same. A 1G braking force is an eye opening experience that will throw you forward and slap you against the shoulder harness if you have them but it still takes about 100 feet to stop. If you hit the ground at 60 mph you stop in about ½ inch and you are Humpty Dumpty. I’ll take 1G braking force Ron Fraser
