All good points and very true!

One of those jobs that it really helps to have someone present who has done it before, your first time, if possible. Otherwise, just budget more time than you might think you'll need.

Stu, did this many years ago, and several bolts, but the real secret is getting the rake of the windshield correct.  Tom Hall has a very inexpensive adjustment kit that will make the little time spent, worth getting it right the first time.

With his kit, it’s easy, w/o lots of time shimming, etc, and his kit can be adjusted later if a set takes place with the rubber that is not the right rake.

The rubber around my windshield and the windshield to body gasket are original...'nuff said.  I looked through the TEAE survivor and the archives on this list, searching for info on the windshield frame removal and installation process, and the removal/installation process for the ss trim on the frame.

I found stuff on seating the glass to the frame, etc,but nothing about accessing the fasteners under the dash. Is there anything written anywhere?  How much really has to be disassembled under the dash to get at the necessary fasteners?  Are there any tricks or shortcuts?
