[Tigers] MKII Alternator another question

Before doing anything else, use a volt-amp meter connected at the battery to make sure your gauge is reading actual voltage. Many gauges have a screw to adjust reading to be actual. ie: I don't know if you have a Smilths volt meter but it most likely has an adjustment screw. Another member (Tom Hall, Doug Jennings and several others) will know for sure and your battery may need tested under load to see if you have a week cell. Good luck.TtT

Thanks for all the advice, one more question.   I put the 60 Amp alternator on, and still have one of the  same problem as with the old one.  With the engine running, voltage across the battery is a constant 15 to 15.5 volts, all the info I finds says it should be 14.2 to14.7 volts.  Turn the lights on and I don’t see a voltage drop.   Bad regulator?  I put a new one on a couple of years ago.  Can it be tested, should I replace with a solid state replacement?  Thanks
