Ok, I am in the middle of installing a new top for my Mk 1 Tiger. It
originally had the cable side tensioners that helped keep everything in
place. Now I have two velcro strips that look to be installed by using
rivets that replace the original system. 

 

So a couple or three questions.  Looks like I need some rivets with black
heads on them but what grip length and diameter are used?  And then, how
many per side to hold it to the side rail of the soft top frame. I may have
to order them. Next is the actual Velcro hook piece itself - it has a seamed
side and has an aluminum strip inside. Does the seamed side go down or up?
Is it flush with the top or bottom of the side rail piece to which it gets
riveted.   

 

A photo of a completed install would go a long way to helping me out
especially if it had a few words with it. 

 

Any quick help out there?
