[Tigers] Fender Badge Details

The badges on my Tiger are original and they have black lettering.  I’m not 
curious enough to try scraping the black off to see if there’s red underneath.

Allan is correct.   I wiped my black looking letters with Windex and they are now red letters.

Hello,

 

I've cleaned a few of the black lettered fender badges to reveal red letters.

 

This makes me curious whether the lettering was painted red originally and subsequently turns black from age, dirt and "patina."
