[Tigers] Defroster tubes and rubber elbow search update

Hi All, 

I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time to read my post and offer suggestions. 

I spoke to Rick today at Sunbeam Specialties and he did have the defroster tubes in stock, so I was able to order two. 

No luck with the rubber elbow though. I did find one for sale on the sunbeamtigerparts.com site but thought it a bit pricy at $45 including clamp. I decided first to order and try a few of the black 1.5 inch I.D. 90 degree silicone elbows off ebay that the Turbo guys use for their motors. At less than $10 a piece, price is certainly attractive. Plus, given how deep under the dash everything is, it probably will never be seen but look reasonably right if seen. (Probably what the former owner of your Tiger was say saying, Andy, as he sacrificed his wife's Hoover for a greater cause?!)
