I would suggest, if you haven't done so already, that you upgrade the
distributor to
solid state specs with a Pertronix unit. If you do that, you can replace
your coil with
a Pertronix coil as well. In so doing, you can do away with the ballast
resistor in
the system. I know it won't be or look stock, but it will be more reliable.
