[Tigers] Tiger Ballast resistor

Michael
That is probably true; I'm sure either Rootes modified the Ford parts or
they asked Ford to modify these parts for them.

Multi million $ order could do that for Rootes but it is very hard to
determine now.

It is also hard to say if the repro part exactly to the Ford print without
the Ford print at hand - variations happen.

On the exact correct part I think you might find the first one for the tiger
is unique by detail.

I bought a repro ford stamped one and noted the angle of the mounting tabs
foot on the original is slightly different to allow it to mount better on
the scuttle brace turret. Very small detail difference, the NPD part works
fine and looks on the button but might be very slightly different.

Michael is correct NPD has this part and I believe Sunbeam Specialties also
carries this part but I'm not sure it is exactly the same as original.

NPD 55 - 57 T-Bird T-12250-1A is listed in my 2011 NPD catalog - check
NPD web site for up to date details.

NPD have a repro with and without ford logo stamped on the foot. It lists
for a 55 t bird iirc

Hi Again:

What a good enough equivalent for the stock Tiger ballast resistor? Anybody
have a NAPA or Autozone part number?

Looking at old Ford stuff at Rock Auto or a couple specialty suppliers, I
see a what looks like a cable spec'd for the ballast resistor on Fords from
back in the day, and neither Rick or Curt list anything.

Somebody must know...
