I have an 8x10 of this picture directly from Dave…took the picture out of the album to reveal any secrets on the back- simply says “Nassau 1964”- although, Dave told me it was Sydney Oaks and it’s a Tiger.

If you zoom in on the script it seems more like the five letters of “Tiger” than the six letters of “Alpine.” In the word Alpine there is no cross mark like the letter “T” that also seems to appear in the picture. While I’m sure it can be argued that the side trim and script could have been added, was that going on a lot in the late 60’s early 70’s that this picture seems to depict? In the high contrast picture, just after the forward mounting point of the traction bar, it looks like the lower end of the rear end. Assuming the Dana 44 is larger than the Alpine rear it might be another point to consider.

I have an NOS shipping box from Traction Masters, from the 60s, with the factory label stating it's for the Alpine - and still having the unused Traction Master inside. So someone thought to put them on Alpines!

It does appear to have a traction bar hanging below the rear spring, hardly a need in an Alpine.
I played some Photoshop tricks to bring out the details. First one is low contrast for the body, sure looks like “Alpine” to me as well.

This is high contrast of the front suspension, it appears there is a steering arm coming down to the front of the spindle, ala Tiger.

If the front wheels were turned just a little more we could tell by the Akkerman angle…
