Find a company that services lawn sprinklers or a home owner with lawn
sprinklers. The normal 6" tall sprinkler head has the stainless steel spring
that you want in it. When the sprinkler head gets thrown out, the spring
get tossed with it. (These things get ruined by getting hit with
lawnmowers). In other words it's considered junk. Find a sprinkler company and I bet
they will give you a box full of them for free. I have at least a 1/2 dozen
that came from sprinklers.

Tom,
Those wires are getting more & more difficult to find and auto parts places
don't sell the wire coil separately. Just buy any radiator hose of the
right diameter that has a wire coil in it, pull out the wire for your
application and put the hose on the shelf for possible future use.
At least that's what I've had to do.
Darrell

Good call Duke!
Make sure there's a wire coil in the lower radiator hose. It'll collapse if
the coil isn't there. (learned that'un in 1962 on a '57 Ford...)
