[Tigers] Mk II Question

Hi and Merry Christmas to the Tiger Gang - 
 I recently purchased a Mk 2 Tiger which appears to be unrestored and very original.  It has been TACed.  However, the steering wheel appears to be plastic (it has a cover so I have not seen the entire wheel).  Has anyone heard of a Mk 2 with a plastic steering wheel?
