[Tigers] Tiger Short Shifter and Alternatives

	The short shifter is straight and maybe 4" shorter than the later
standard shifter.
The later shifter also has about a 20 degree bend that brings it closer to
the driver.

My guess is to make a shift to 3rd with the short shifter you might have to
lean towards the shifter to get there.

I'm confused. How does a shortshifter make 3rd a longer reach?  Is it a bend
in the shifter and no bend in the shifter?
